Rios Trade School holds Full Authorization from the Indiana Office for Career and Technical Schools for its HVAC and Welding programs. Our instructors bring hands-on industry experience and support students throughout their training.

HVAC Training

Length

24 weeks

Description: This hands-on HVAC program prepares students to work with heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Training combines classroom instruction with practical work on real equipment, helping students build skills in installation, maintenance, electrical controls, system operation, and troubleshooting.

What You Will Learn:

• HVAC fundamentals
• Installation and maintenance of HVAC equipment
• Electrical controls, motors, and system components
• Electric and gas heating systems
• Air distribution and airflow
• System diagnostics and troubleshooting

Certifications:

    • Students receive training related to EPA 608 and A2L Low-GWP Refrigerant Safety. Certification requirements and testing are handled separately from tuition.

Welding Training

Description: Rios Trade School offers hands-on welding training across multiple processes, including Stick (SMAW), MIG, TIG, and Flux Core. Students develop practical skills through shop-based training designed for a range of welding applications and career paths.

  • Reading welding drawings and specifications
  • Safe welding practices and shop safety

Certifications:

Our welding programs train students to AWS standards. AWS certification testing is handled separately from the training program.
